painting takes you places you never expected it would

Hey. Right now I'm drinking a strange, fizzy pink drink I made that was supposed to be a strawberry lemonade slushy (Pinterest is responsible for this =). I'm waiting for part of a painting to dry so that I can finish it without the paint mixing. I ended up in the bathroom with the painting, dripping blue watercolor into the bathtub. Funny where art leads you, huh? =) If you ever decide to dump a lot of water on a painting - and then add more paint - I suggest doing it near a sink or bathtub. Just my personal preference. Totally random, but I was doing a painting for my mom for Christmas and ended up dumping a container of water (with black paint in it) all over my carpet. Thankfully it came up REALLY easily, but I was a little scared for a minute. Oh, and last night, I found a song I listened to when I was five and started freaking out (it used to be my favorite song - and probably is now, too). I should probably go finish my painting and read my amazing books that I could go on and on and on about (and I would, too, if you were interested =). You can tell I get a little - ok a lot - excited about them.

The Sea

The Sea (by me)

It falls, it crashes,

It foams, it flashes.

It falls, it rises,

Unlucky sailors it surprises.

It sprays, it sputters,

The creatures inside it flutter.

It's dark, it's deep,

Into it waters seep.

It's cool, it's wet,

A perfect canvas for a sunset.

It's wide, it's open, 

And it is the sea. 

new year's eve

New Year's Eve was a blast. We took pictures. We wore hats and ear muffs and screamed "HAPPY NEW YEAR" to every car that drove by. I beat everyone at Wii Jeopardy (THIS IS A FIRST!!). We ate cake. Store bought cake. Yes, it was amazing. Oh, and let's not forget Catch Prase! =)

Random Pictures (surprise!)

It's 2013. Can you believe it? Sounds so cliche, right? Oh, and I just figured out (as in a few days ago) that cliche is not pronounced "click". Well, there's one thing we learned last year! Who's a genius here? (NOT ME! =)

Let's just put off the 2013 post. If I even do a post. 'Cause maybe I won't. Anyway....I got a filter for my camera. I have been experimenting with it.

I made Andy not eat his ice cream so I could take a picture. I'm sure he loved that.

Yellow flowers are so pretty.

In other words, I love my camera. And you didn't know that and you really wanted to. Or not....
